About the Golden Ears Flying Club

  • The Golden Ears Flying Club was established in 1959 and is one of the oldest flying clubs operating in British Columbia. Its fleet currently consists of two Cessna 172 aircraft: a 172E C-FHTI and a 172M C-GJYY. The aircraft are conveniently located at CYPK Pitt Meadows at the AeroClub of BC. We maintain a small roster of about 25 pilots which ensures lots of opportunity for bookings.
  • Bookings are made online and can be for as short as one hour, or, if you have the need for some real adventure - twice a year you can book an aircraft for up to 12 days, or, of course, anything in between. There is never a minimum flight time associated with the bookings. Each aircraft has a US Customs Decal to assist in making flights to the USA.
  • More Info

The club has a three way pricing structure.

  • There is a non refundable initiation fee of $2500.
  • Monthly charge of $75 per month paid quarterly for fixed costs.
  • Hourly rate of $60 per hour tach time (no taxes). Tach time is usually the same as airtime - about 0.2 to 0.3 less than Hobbs Time.

The planes are all professionally maintained to night VFR standards and have been going through a series of upgrades in avionics and instrumentation.
