About the club
The Golden Ears Flying Club was established in 1959 and is one of the oldest flying clubs operating in British Columbia. Its fleet currently consists of two Cessna 172 aircraft: a 172E C-FHTI and a 172M C-GJYY. The aircraft are conveniently located at CYPK Pitt Meadows at the AeroClub of BC. We maintain a small roster of about 28 pilots which ensures lots of opportunity for bookings.
How it works
Bookings are made online using FlightCircle.com and can be for as short as one hour, or, if you have the need for some real adventure - twice a year you can book an aircraft for up to 12 days, or, of course, anything in between. There is never a minimum flight time associated with the bookings. Each aircraft has a US Customs Decal to assist in making flights to the USA.

The planes are both professionally maintained to night VFR standards and have been going through a series of upgrades in avionics and instrumentation.
C-GJYY is currently IFR equipped.
Pricing
The club has a three way pricing structure. Prices may be adjusted from time to time and the prices listed on this website may be out of date.
Initiation: Non-refundable initiation fee of $3000
Monthly dues: $96 per month paid quarterly for fixed costs
Hourly rates: $87-$90 per hour of Tach Time (no taxes) depending on the plane.
Tach Time is usually the same as Air Time - about 0.2 to 0.3 less than Hobbs Time.
Club Operation
The club has a 7-8 member volunteer executive board.
Meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the Aero Club of BC clubhouse. Also hosted online via Zoom when possible.
All members and guests are welcome to join the meeting. Guests may be asked to leave if there is discussion of sensitive topics.
All active members have voting privileges in the club.
